I confess: I am a racist. A human racist.
I believe we are all in this together — as the human race. To believe otherwise is to ignore the facts.
When you trace it back far enough, all of us share African roots. Some of the children of our common ancestors wandered into places where the sun was less intense, and melanin levels gradually dropped. Over the millennia, our surfaces changed, but the roots remain.
If you really want to celebrate heritage, let’s go all the way back and celebrate that!
